W. THOMAS ROWE

DUDLEY -- William Thomas Rowe, 50, 3573 U.S. 117 Alternate, died Saturday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hickory, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Pastor Al Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Rev. Rudolph and Irma Barwick Rowe.

He was employed with Shepherd Electric Supply Co. He attended Goldsboro Wesleyan Church and was active with livestock and Wayne County 4-H.

Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Vivian Lindsey Rowe; a daughter, Elizabeth Rowe of the home; two sisters, Mary Rowe Gardner and husband, Kenneth, of Pikeville, Lynne Rowe Herndon and husband, Tommy, of Pikeville; and his step mother, Hazel Rowe of Pikeville.

Family members will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times, will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Elizabeth Rowe Educational Fund for Thomas' daughter, c/o First Citizens Bank, 200 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
