Mildred King Smith, 55, 779 E. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, N.C., died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Little Creek Free Will Baptist Church of Ayden, N.C. Burial will be in Winterville Cemetery.
She was a native of Pitt County and attended Pitt County schools. She was a member of Little Creek Free Will Baptist Church where she was secretary of the Sunday School.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Murphy King of Winterville, N.C.; husband, Andrew Smith of the home; one son, Alan Smith of the home; three daughters, Karen Redman of Knightdale, N.C., Alishia Cook of Grimesland, N.C., and Mary Smith of Goldsboro, N.C.; five brothers, Arthur King Jr. and Vidalia King of Winterville, N.C., Larry Donnell King and Randy King of Ayden, N.C., and Bernard King of New Bern, NC.; and two grandchildren, Brittany Redmon and Jashawn Cook.
The viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Don Brown Funeral Home.
