KAYE V. GRAY

LAGRANGE -- Kaye Vinson Gray, 57, 5218 Mays Store Road, went home to be with her Heavenly Father June 9, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. from Tanglewood Church with Pastor Tim Lanier, Pastor Anthony Braswell and the Rev. Allen Ham officiating. Graveside committal services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange.
Kaye was born in LaGrange May 1, 1951, to the late Milford and Carrie Vinson.
She was an active member of Tanglewood Church in Kinston, Tanglewood Church Cancer Support Group, Lenoir Memorial Hospital Bosom Buddies Cancer Support Group, and she retired from Lenoir County Farm Bureau following 27 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Edward F. Gray Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Danny Gray of the home; daughters, Suzanne Deaver and husband, Glenn, of Kinston and Joy Brock and husband, Grady, of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Austin and Mason Deaver of
Kinston and Kalyn Brock of Seven Springs; mother-in-law, Annette Gray of LaGrange; three step-children, Ashley Gray and wife, Lauren, of LaGrange, Lindsey Gray of Chappell Hill, Texas, and Keely Gray of Greenville; sister, Janet Smith and husband, Dennis, of Kinston; nephew, Brian Smith and wife, Brittany, of Kinston; niece, Holly Smith of Kinston; sister-in-law, Lynn Everett and husband, Roy, of New Bern; brother-in-law, Donald Gray and wife, Judy, of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Luanne Scott and husband, Eddie, of Goldsboro; numerous nieces, nephews and other special friends and family; sister, Jean Rouse of Albertson; and brother, Russell Vinson of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and immediately following the service.
