RUTH J. ROUSE

LAGRANGE -- Ruth Jones Rouse, 86, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 10 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. Karl Grant officiating.
Mrs. Rouse was born in Lenoir County to the late James Emmett Jones and Lucy Brothers Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip W. Rouse.
Mrs. Rouse graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in library science. She was a retired librarian with Lenoir County Public Schools and was a lifelong member of LaGrange United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Rouse is survived by a daughter, Lucy Rouse Warren and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro; son, Hal Douglas Rouse and wife, Pam, of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Willis Warren and fiancee, Millie Pelletier, Ellen Ruth Warren Grisette and husband, Layton, Chancey Rouse, Ashley Rouse, Samantha Rouse and Carson Rouse; and a brother, Jack Jones of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the graveside service and at other times, they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Warren, 109 Meadowlark Road, Goldsboro.
