Betty Gurley Pittman, 99, 623 Morreene Road, died early Saturday morning at Durham Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Clements Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jack Cox and the Rev. Ron Christ. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton, N.C., at 3 p.m.
Mrs. Pittman was born in Johnston County and lived in Wayne County before moving to Durham in 1971. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Kermit L. Pittman of Durham; a daughter, Joyce P. Fletcher and husband, Herb, of Zelienople. Pa.; one grandchild, Kim Crowley and husband, Sean, of Worthington, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Dylan Crowley.
The family will receive friends at Clements Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
