UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -- Sgt. Dorothy Lea Plummer, 50, 9109 Fairhaven Ave., formerly of Wayne County, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle, 524 Guthric Turner Road, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580, with Pastor William Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery, 3618 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C.

Dorothy was born April 22, 1958, in Wayne County to the late Mrs. Adell Wooten and Mr. Leander Wooten, who is still living.

Sgt. Plummer was preceded in death by her sister, Toni Garrett, and her nephew, Tyrone Garrett

A viewing will be conducted Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C.

Also, a wake will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m. with the family in attendance to receive other family members and friends. At other times the family will be receiving family members and friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wooten, 219 Corral Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her father: Leander Wooten, and stepmother, Retha Wooten of Snow Hill, N.C.; one brother, Arthur Wooten of Goldsboro, N.C.; three sisters, Verile Jean Clark of Snow Hill, N.C., Nancy Carolyn Smith of LaGrange, N.C., and Dorthea Williams of LaGrange, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Maisy Wooten of Goldsboro, N.C.; one brother-in-law, William Clark of Hugo, N.C.; two aunts, Mary Vaugh and Sophia King both of LaGrange; two uncles, James Wooten of Snow Hill, N.C., and Nathaniel Wooten of Fountain, N.C.; four nieces, Tiffany Walker, LaKreesha Wooten, Sharrie Artis and Victoria Wooten; six nephews, T-Derrik Artis, Donuell Artis, Latrell Wooten, Jeffrer Smith Jr. and Darius Smith, Sgt. Jereme Walker; and a host of great-nieces and nephews other loving relatives and friends.
