WILSON -- Johnnie Coley, 53, 601 Grove St., was born July 15, 1954 to the late Thomas and Patsy Jones Coley in Wayne County, N.C.
He departed his earthly life and crossed over to eternity Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Wilson Medical Center.
The service for Mr. Coley will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greater Century Baptist Church, 1503 Black Creek Road, Wilson. The Rev. Marie Williamson will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street extension.
Joyful memories of Mr. Johnnie are cherished by his wife Carolyn Coley; four sons, Johquill Moye of the home, Jonte Douglas of Wilson, Rayco Kornegay (Sabrina) of Princeton and Don Kornegay (Cora) of Raleigh, N.C.; one stepson, Stephen Moye of the home; one stepdaughter, Stacy Moye of the home; two brothers, Edward Lee Jones and James Melvin Coley of Fremont, N.C.; three sisters, Maggie Neal (Alton) of Kenly, N.C., Vera Coley and Shevonne Coley both of Fremont, N.C.; three brothers-in-law, Jonathan Moye, William Moye (Phyliss) of Wilson and Jeffrey Moye (Terri) of Clayton, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Sylvia Harris (John) of Wilson, N.C.; five grandchildren; and a host of other special relatives and friends including the St. Mary's Church Family.
A viewing of Mr. Coley will take place Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. SW, with the family present later in the evening to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. And all other times the family will receive friends at the residence, where they will also assemble one hour prior to the service.
