APPLING, Ga. -- Retired Master Sgt. Billy M. "Bill" Best, 67, died Monday at Heartland Hospice.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at The Shepherd's Church of Appling, with Pastor Bob Rollins officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in The Shepherd's Church Cemetery.
He was the husband of Peggy Rhodes Best.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Pearl Best.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Shepherd's Church Building Fund.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Ga.
