RUBY S. BURROUGHS

DUDLEY -- Ruby Smith Burroughs, 67, of 127 Holloman Lane, Dudley, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Ruby was born in Greene County to the late Odie and Mary Radford Smith.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Edmundson and Elizabeth Edmundson; and two brothers, Danny Smith and Tom Smith. Ruby was the owner/operator of Red Rose Cleaning Service.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Elbert Hollowell and the Rev. Juanita Hollowell officiating.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 52 years, Milton Burroughs; four children, Jeffery Burroughs and wife, Lynn of Zebulon, Milton "Mutt" Burroughs of Dudley, Anthony "Andy" Burroughs and wife, Jenny of Dudley, Sherry Upton and husband, Billy of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Jason Burroughs, Brandon Burroughs, Miranda Burroughs, Donna Sue Register, Nikki Burroughs, Joshua Dante and Emily Upton; six great-grandchildren, Emily Register, Kelsey Ravenscroft, Caleb Dante, Angelina Dante, Jackson Stader and Preslee Floyd; two sisters, Marie Carter of La Grange and Joan Carter of Seven Springs; brother, Edward Bundy "Bud" Smith of LaGrange; two special family friends, Jimmy and Mary "Pete" Daniels of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rouse Funeral Home. They also will be at the home at other times. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange.
