MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Mrs. Elaine Wynne Weaver, 49, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Thursday, May 22, 2008, in New Jersey.
Elaine was born in Ohio, May 24, 1958. She and her husband moved from Raleigh to the Myrtle Beach area in 1994. She was a former part owner of Mr. Pitt BBQ of Myrtle Beach and was better known as Ms. Pitt BBQ. Prior to her move to Myrtle Beach, Elaine was a Realtor, part owner in a real estate company in Goldsboro and served in the U.S. Air Force. She was a successful business woman, and was currently involved as part owner of a renovations company. Elaine loved life and lived life to its fullest. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife.
Surviving are her stepmother, Dorothy Weaver of Mount Olive; her husband, Dexter A. Weaver of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, April Lawson and husband, William of Ash; two sons, Steven Carr and Matthew Carr both of Goldsboro; two stepchildren, Dexter "DJ" Weaver Jr. of Raleigh, and Crystal Zimmers and husband, Eric of Raleigh; and six grandchildren, Blaine Lawson, Bailey Lawson, William Brady Lawson, Sammy Carr, Jade Carr and Emily Zimmers.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008, at McMillan-Small Fu-neral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tim Reaves and the Rev. Jessie Weaver officiating. Private interment services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008.
The family will receive friends at McMillan-Small Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6 p.m. until the hour of the service.
