CLINTON -- Jestine "Jake" Jackson Elmore, 81, 516 Stewart Ave., died Wednesday at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Cava officiating. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery.
A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Jackson and Docia J. Jackson.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dewey Peele Elmore of the home and three children.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
