Esther "Essie" Marie Schnaedelbach Morgan, 92, died peacefully May 21, 2008, at the home of Paul and Claire Spilseth.
A celebration of her life will be held in California at a later date.
She was a community leader and a member of Alpha Phi and Girl Scouts and lived an active, creative and selfless life, even while gracefully coping with Alzheimer's disease for 20 years in North Carolina, California and Minnesota with the loving support of her family.
She was raised in St. Louis, Mo., and was the wife of the late Brooks Stockstrom Morgan.
She is survived by her four children, Dwight Morgan, Gail Rockwell, Claire Spilseth and Lynn Cutter; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
