HAZEL VIRGINIA OUTLAW

DEEP RUN -- Hazel Virginia Outlaw, 88, of 1155 Seth Turner Road, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bodell Outlaw and her parents Jacob and Virginia Carter Deaver. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Fussell and Wade Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston.

Survivors include her children, Virginia Charlotte Outlaw Dupree of Albertson, Durham Wendell Outlaw and wife, Pat, Rachel Glenn Outlaw Thompson and husband, A.C., and Phil Outlaw and wife, Joan, all of Kinston; sister Geraldine Deaver Herald and husband, Clyde, of Kinston; and sister-in-law Sarah Deaver of Deep Run; grandchildren, Kenneth Royal Dupree II, Charlotte Renee Dupree Quinn, Joan Celeste Fussell, Carse Thompson, Neal Wendell Outlaw, Phyliss Outlaw Wiggins and Russell G. Thompson; 13 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Pink Hill Funeral Home. The family will be at Mrs. Outlaw's home.
