Mack Authur Best, 53, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Mike," 810 Devereaux St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, with pastor Timothy Dortch officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dr. Martin Luther King Parkway, Goldsboro.
"Mike" was preceded in death by his parents, Golden and Hilda Best; his sister, Linda Benjamin; and his daughter, Yolonda Best.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara Ann Best of Goldsboro; two sons, Mack Bizzell and Mourice Wilder; three daughters, Shegita Best, Angela Bynum, Christina Bynum; four grandchildren; three brothers, Nathaniel Best, James Best, Johnny Best; one sister, Jessie Best; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be conducted Friday, May 16, 2008, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Also, a wake will be held Friday, May 16, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. with the family in attendance to receive other family members and friends.
