Marie Elizabeth Whitley Daughtry, 92, died Sunday at Britthaven Nursing Home after a long illness.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hicks and the Rev. Craig Landon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by a son; three granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
She was born in Johnston County to the late Herman Joseph Whitley and Nannie Bailey Whitley and was the widow of the late Milton Haywood Daughtry.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Parrish Funeral Home of Selma.
