JOHN G. MCVERRY

John Gregory McVerry, 56, of Selah Church Road, formerly of Watertown, Conn., passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 9, 2008, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A Mass will be held at St. Johns Church in Watertown May 21 at 10:30 a.m.
He was the husband of Judith Kaye McVerry and the son of John and Theresa McVerry of Watertown. He was also the brother of the late Bruce McVerry and beloved father of Erin Kinnane and Kelly McVerry of Massachusetts and Bridget McVerry of Rhode Island. He is also survived by two stepchildren, Greg and Jenny, and nine grandchildren. He also leaves behind a niece, Amy McVerry; a nephew, Shaun McVerry; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John McVerry served his country during both the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm as an IT tech and a cook, and supported the NAS in Brunswick, Maine, and Key West, Fla., having served 15 years in the Navy.
