GRANTHAM -- Raymond Carroll Ingram, 66, died on Friday at his home surrounded by his family.

Carroll was born in Wayne County on Oct. 15, 1941, to the late Raymond Ingram and Bessie Lee Ingram. For 30 years, Carroll had worked with Ertel Construction Company in Charlotte. He was a lifetime member of Eureka Christian Church.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at Eureka Christian Church, with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Interment will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the church cemetery.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Ingram; his son, Steven Ingram and wife, Teresa, of Grantham; his daughter, Tracey Casto and husband, Kevin, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Amber Hylton and Nichole, Shannon and Brianna Casto; and his sister, Edna Thornton of Grantham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Mills, Dale Lewis and Gale Ingram.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 or to Eureka Christian Church, 2036 Dobbersville Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.

The family will receive friends Sunday following the service in the fellowship hall of Eureka Christian Church and other times at his home, 134 King Road, Goldsboro.
