JOHNNY EMMETT CARTER
Johnny Emmett Carter, 52, died Wednesday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Johnny was born in Wayne County on Nov. 6, 1955, to the late Linwood Earl Carter and Nancy Henrietta Howell Carter. He had been working for Bobby Rex Kornegay Surveying in Goldsboro. He enjoyed working in his yard.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Vinson Family Cemetery on Vinson Road with the Rev. Mike Grady officiating.
Johnny is survived by his sisters, Mary Lee Peele, Carolyn "Tootsie" Dail and Jeannie Jones, all of Goldsboro; his brothers, Ike Carter and Ronnie Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Newman and Janet Smith; and his brothers, James Donald "Bud" Carter and Gary Carter.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ronnie Carter at 382 Peele Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
