MOUNT OLIVE -- Eva Best Wall, 81, of 865 Country Club Road, died Thursday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. James Earl Herring and Elder Jimmy Dixon officiating. Visitation followed the service, and the family is at the residence at other times. Committal and burial will be today at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was retired from Mount Olive Pickle Company where she was a grading line supervisor.

Survivors include six children, Bobbie W. Dixon and husband, Jimmy, of Mount Olive, Belita Whitman of Goldsboro, Pennie W. Holmes and husband, Jimmie, of Seven Springs, Ralph Wall and wife, Angela, of Mount Olive, Jennie W. Daniels and husband, Chris, and Robert Wall and wife, Joyce, of Faison; a dear sister, Lizzie B. Whitman of Mount Olive; 12 grandchildren, Michael and Shannon Wiggins, Adam and Jennifer Wiggins, and Hayden Wall, all of Mount Olive, Jeanenne and Rick Mumford, Jennifer and Alex Hollingsworth, Jason and Erin Arnau, Jonathan and Reneha Arnau, and Jennele Wall, all of Goldsboro, Kristen and Josh Boatright of Greenville, Kelly and Phillip Faulk of Dudley, Jennifer and Roger Edward of Warsaw, and Jay Holmes of Emerald Isle; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Wall; her parents, Henry Best and Maggie Harrell Best Spence; two brothers, Hosea and Hoover Best; and two sisters, Esther Thompson and Angeline Best.
