MARY P. KNIGHT

LAGRANGE -- Mary Inez Padgett Knight, 84, went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Knight was born in Greene County to the late Joseph Hinson and Molly King Hinson. She later moved to Maryland where she lived for 30 years before returning to North Carolina. Mrs. Knight was married to the late Charles William Knight. She was a member of Pasadena Church of God in Pasadena, Md.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Farmville.
Mrs. Knight is survived by her daughters, Hilda Worthington of Winterville, Gloria Byczynski and husband, Ed, of Pasadena, Md., Peggy Wilson of Maryland, Linda Howard and husband, Steve, of LaGrange; her sons, Edward Padgett and wife, Martha, of Rocky Mount, Kenny Padgett and wife, Sue, of Pasadena, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Padgett of Beaver, Pa.; 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James T. Padgett and Marvin F. Padgett.
