LAGRANGE -- Joseph Lemiah Adams Sr., 71, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Joe Bill," of 2693 New Hope Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro. He was born to the late Lemiah Adams and Julie Coor Adams.
Mr. Adams is survived by three sons, Joseph Adams Jr., Ricky Adams, Vincent Adams; one daughter, Nino A. Coley; three brothers, William Adams, Marvin Adams, Winston Adams; five sisters; Amelia Jones, Dr. Annie McDonald, Willie Lofton, Jewel Braswell, Pamela Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Shady Grove M.B. Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange, N.C. 28551, with the Rev. Ezekiel Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery, LaGrange, N.C. A viewing will be conducted on Friday, May 2, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C. from 1 to 6 p.m.
