ROLAND N. PRICE
Roland Nathaniel Price, 81, of 1052 Hinnant Road, went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning, April 27, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Visitation will follow the service. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery.
Mr. Price was born in Wayne County on June 21, 1926, to the late Nathan and Carrie Howell Price. He was a member of Faro Chapel PFWB Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beulah Crocker Price; one daughter, Linda Cherry and her husband, Walter T., of Wilmington; one son, Donnie Price and his wife, Koni, of Rosewood; three stepsons, Lester Edmundson Jr. and his wife, Grace, of Knightdale, Ron Edmundson and his wife, Evelyn, of Kenly, Todd Edmundson and his wife, Sandra, of Pikeville; one brother, Vernon Price and his wife, Elsie, of Eureka; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Melvin Peed.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Price was preceded in death by two brothers, James Price and Eugene Price; and one sister, Esther Le Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Faro Chapel PFWB Church or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
