JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Minnie Rose Coley, 64, daughter of the late Jonah and Emma Coley departed this life on Sunday at Jersey Medical Center in Jersey City, N.J.

Minnie spent her early life in Wayne County, N.C., until the family moved to New York where she became a devoted member of Macedonia Church of Christ in Brooklyn, N.Y. Partners in Care employed Minnie for 25 years. She was an excellent employee until she became ill and retired from the company.

Minnie leaves to mourn her sisters, Lenora Hodges of Jersey City, N.J., Virginia Cox and husband, Nazereth, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brothers, Brantham R. Coley and wife, Aleather, of Goldsboro, N.C., Franklin D. Coley and wife, Mary, of Spring Valley, N.Y., Hugh Morris Coley and wife, Delores, of Laurelton, N.Y.

The viewing will be conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2008, from 2-7 p.m. The Coley Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at noon from the Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. Tate officiating and Elder George Wiggins serving as eulogist. Interment will follow in the Coley Family Cemetery, Pikeville, N.C., and at other times the family will be receiving friends at 1668 U.S. Highway 13 South, Goldsboro, N.C.
