BEN SINQUEFIELD SR.

PRINCETON -- Foy "Ben" Benjamin Sinquefield Sr., 75, of Grady Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Dr. Alfred Wright will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Mr. Sinquefield was born in Eufaula, Ala., on July 5, 1932, to the late Walter Carl and Eva Miles Sinquefield. He was a former member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Sinquefield; one son, Foy "Ben" Benjamin Sinquefield Jr. of Princeton; two daughters, Dana Hope of Greenville, Tracie Wright and her husband, Jonathan, of Fayetteville; two brothers, Douglas Sinquefield of Sylva, N.C., George Sinquefield and his wife, Evelyn, of Shelbyville, Tenn.; three sisters, Margaret Cox and her husband, John, of Millbrook, Ala., Eva Carl Childree of Eufaula, Ala., Monnie DeVenny and her husband, Robert, of Gainsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey and Kyle Hope, Fisher and Luke Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews including Judy Gay and her husband, Tom, Allen and Gary Sinquefield.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sinquefield was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Dixon.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
