VIRGINIA W. HOWELL

Virginia Rannette Warrick Howell, 74, of 285 Thad Lane, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County to the late Emmett and Maybell Bordeaux Warrick, she was the wife of the late Ralph R. Howell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Warrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Thad Smith Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell is survived by two sons, Delmar Howell and his life partner, Bill Garrett ,of Louisburg, N.C., Ralph Junior Howell and his wife, Patty, of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Haywood Warrick of Concord, N.C., Leslie "Toot" Warrick of Autryville, N.C.; and four sisters, Mae W. Shumate of Dudley, N.C., Christine W. Smith of Goldsboro, N.C., Edna Brashears of Goldsboro, N.C., Shirley Knowles of Autryville, N.C.
Family members will greet friends Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
