KENNETH "PEP" BARWICK

MOUNT OLIVE -- Kenneth Ray "Pep" Barwick Sr., 73, of 1642 Kelly Springs Road, a life-long farmer, died at his home on Friday afternoon.

The funeral will be held by the graveside today, Sunday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Revs. Paul Rose and Sherman Dilley will officiate.

The family is receiving friends at the residence and following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Barwick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenda Scott Barwick of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Ray "Ken" Barwick Jr. and Debra Dazey Barwick; and a granddaughter, Tyler Diana Barwick, all of Mount Olive; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Dell B. and Butch Lewis of Mount Olive; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin and Marian Barwick, and Harold and Faye Barwick, all of Mount Olive; a sister-in-law and husband, Frances S. and Carl Rivenbark of Mount Olive; a brother-in-law and wife, D.L. and Alice Scott of Pink Hill; two other sisters-in-law, Joyce Barwick of Goldsboro, and Marie B. Kennedy and husband, Bill of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, John Harvey and Hattie Holloman Barwick, and two brothers, Harvey J. Barwick and Leonard Martin Barwick, preceded him in death.

Flowers are welcome; however, memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, P.O. Box 130, Dudley, N.C. 28333 would be appreciated.
