LAGRANGE -- Roy Gray, 77, of 313 Parkstown Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gray was born in Wayne County to the late Claudie and Hannah Walters Gray. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed growing tobacco and raising cattle. Mr. Gray was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a charter member of the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Park East Church of God.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Park East Church of God with the Rev. Wesley Jarman and the Rev. T.C. West officiating. Burial will follow at the Gray Family Cemetery.

Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 59 years, Willa Pelletier Gray; two sons, Royce Gray and wife, Bonnie, of LaGrange, Randy Gray and wife, Pam, of LaGrange; two brothers, Roland Gray and Robert "Red" Gray, both of LaGrange; two sisters, Nancy Cruse of LaGrange and Gertie Duncan of Orangevale, Calif.; four beloved grandchildren, Daniel Gray, Ashley Gray, Erica Gray and Jeffrey Gray.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Park East Church of God and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Gray, 750 Race Track Road, LaGrange.
