MOUNT OLIVE -- Esthel Wade Edwards, 69, of 268 Thunder Swamp Road, died Tuesday morning at SunBridge Care Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tyndall Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dollie Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Holloman Family Cemetery at the home. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m., and other times at the residence.
Mr. Edwards will be best remembered for his 30-year association with E. T. Ferrell and Son Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning in Mount Olive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esthel C. and Helen Coker Edwards; and by a brother, Ray Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Holloman Edwards of the home; a son, Tim Edwards of Mount Olive; three daughters, Edna Edwards and Sandra Edwards, both of Dudley, Lynn E. Jordan and husband, Kevin, of Mount Olive; four grandchildren, Brittany Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Amanda Edwards, Lauren Jordan; and three sisters, Faye Fryar and Wanda Edwards, both of Garner, and Shirley Williams of Knightdale.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
