LOUISE B. JACKSON

Louise Bailey Jackson, 80, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Louise was born in Wayne County on April 7, 1927, to the late John Edward Bailey and Cora West Bailey. She was married to the late David Rose Jackson Sr. Louise retired as a supervisor with R.G. Barry in Goldsboro. She was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Arthur DeChent and Barry Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Jackson of Grantham and Rella Jernigan of Grantham; her grandson, David Jernigan and wife, Glenna Estes, of Taylorsville, Ind.; and her great-grandchildren, Kameron, Zoey, Tazia and Tiara. She is also survived by her fiancé, Rudolph Boyd of Goldsboro; her brother-in-law, Osco W. Jackson and wife, Ruth, of Monroe; her sisters-in-law, Tempie J. Jones of Nahunta, Hilda B. Jackson of Littleton, and Virginia Bailey of Faison; her special friends, Annie Hollowell, Rose Mozingo and Mildred Pate; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Rose Jackson Jr. and 12 brothers and sisters.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Va. 22038-1132 or the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m. and other times at her home, 2973 U.S. Hwy. 13 S., Goldsboro.
