DEACON HERBERT T. GRAHAM

Jan. 7, 1923-Feb. 19, 2008

Deacon Herbert T. Graham, was lovingly known by his family and church friends as "Deacon Graham," of 1717 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, N.C. He endured long suffering with patience, love and understanding. Deacon Graham's suffering came to an end on Monday.

He was born to the late Lee Graham and Liza Nichols Graham in Boardman, N.C. Also, four brothers and a daughter, Ernestine Miller, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn, his devoted wife of 61 years, Annie A. Graham of the home; two daughters, Agnes M. Mann of Charleston, S.C., Essie M. Chrisp of Goldsboro, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Holy Temple United Holy Church, 405 E. Parker St., Calypso, N.C., with Dr. H.E. McNair officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, North, Goldsboro, N.C. A viewing will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., from 1 to 7 p.m. Also, a wake will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. with the family present to receive other family members and friends.
