Annie Elizabeth Keen Ferrell, 89, a resident of Woodard's Care, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Annie was born in Wilson County to the late Hubert Keen and Clyde Louisa Jackson Keen. She was married to the late James Thomas Ferrell. Annie was a retired seamstress and a faithful member of the Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Willard Hardison and the Rev. Reynolds Smith officiating.

She is survived by her daughters, Annie Margie Hatcher of Pikeville, Janice Faye Smith of Dudley; her sons, James Ray Ferrell of Rosewood, Thomas Eugene Ferrell of Pikeville, Hubert Gerald Ferrell of Pikeville; her sisters, Dolly Jean Waddell of Bailey, Sally Mae Waddell of Macclesfield; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Thomas Ferrell, 104 Pony Drive, Pikeville.
