PINETOPS -- Mary Lillian Battle Thorpe, 89, of 114 S.A. Gilliam St., died Friday at Greenfield Place Nursing Home, Greenville.
Eleven children survive.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard E. Joyner officiating. Wake will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary, Inc. of Tarboro, with burial at Thorpe Family Cemetery.
