Lois McDaniel Burke, 80, of 123 AcreView Drive, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the arms of her daughter on Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A celebration of life service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards. Pastor David Jackson will officiate.
Mrs. Burke was born in Dayton, Ohio, on Oct. 6, 1927, to the late John William and Clara Bowling McDaniel.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Jean McKee and Fred Lee McKee II of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Trae McKee and his wife, Sheri Hines McKee, and Scott McKee and his fiancée, Nicole; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden Trae McKee and Tyler Addison McKee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Freedom Baptist Church, 300 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
