James "Jim" Hubert Head, 77, of 700 N. Berkeley Blvd., died Friday at his home. A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late O.H. Head and Eloise Thompson Head. Jim was retired from Nationwide as a claims manager. He was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church and the Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 B.P.O.E.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Ken Jones and Ray Smeltzer officiating. Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara Hinnant Head; sons, James William Head and wife, Sonia, of Baton Rouge, La., and Larry Thomas Head and wife, Mary, of Florence, Ala.; grandsons, Randall, Siler, and David Head; a sister, Joyce Head of Wilmington and a brother, Delmus Head of Kinston.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence.
