BOBBY C. EZZELL

WARSAW -- Bobby Chester Ezzell died Monday at Duplin General Hospital of a heart attack. He was born in a little house on the outside of Warsaw, N.C. to Melva H. Ezzell and the late James T. Ezzell Jr. Bobby lived in Warsaw all his life, raised on a farm his childhood and learned to work hard, and he did. He worked at Reeves Brothers for a while, then he worked at Farmers Hardware for many, many years and worked on lawn mowers at night in his shop at home. The hardware store closed and he went to work at Clark's Fertilizer Company in Warsaw where he drove a spreader truck. Clark's closed and Bobby went to work at Dixie Chemical in Warsaw also driving a truck, where he was presently employed.
Bobby loved his wife, two children, brother, mother, father and his grandchildren. He loved to spend time with his family and most of all his grandchildren. He was a man of his word, and well respected and loved for it by his community, co-workers and family. Bobby also loved his "hot-rods" as he and his grandson, Alan, called them. They liked to work on them together. T. J. and Donnie Bryant, his two little "knots" as he called them enjoyed playing outside together. His eyeball was Abigail, his only granddaughter, in which he just loved to be with. He loved each one of his grandchildren so very much.
Bobby loved the outdoors and working in his yard and his mother's yard to make them pretty. He was also proud of his home, yard and family.
He will be missed so very, very much by family, co-workers and community.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Linda Ezzell of Warsaw; daughter, Angie Johnson and husband, Lynn, of Mount Olive; son, Bobby James Ezzell and wife, LaDonna, of Harrells; mother, Melva H. Ezzell of Warsaw; brother, Ben Ezzell and wife, Pat, of Virginia; granddaughter, Abigail Lynette Johnson of Mount Olive; grandsons, Alan Lynn Johnson of Mount Olive, Tyler James Ezzell and Donnie Bryant Ezzell of Harrells; niece, Jenny Cannon and husband, Craig; great-nephew, Benjamin, of Virginia; nephew, Jimmy Ezzell of Virginia; and lifetime friend and mother of his children, Nancy Ezzell.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Faison Cemetery.
