CLAYTON -- Katie Pauline Pollock Edwards, 85, died Monday. Born in Johnston County, she was the widow of Joseph Herman Edwards who died in 1992 and was preceded in death by a daughter, Betsy E. Decker.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the cemetery at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Donald Joseph Edwards of Goldsboro; daughter, Carolyn E.S. Andrews and husband, Eugene, of Clayton; two sisters; three grandsons, Allen Stewart of Eagle River, Ark., Daniel Decker of Woodbridge, Va., Cliff Edwards of Staun-ton, Va.; four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal visitation.
