MARY JOYCE DIXON

Mary Joyce Dixon, 62, went to be with her Lord on Friday evening at her home surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in Lenoir County on June 14, 1945, to the late Edgar Barfield and Essie Morgan Barfield. She was married to the late Frank Dixon.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with her brothers, the Revs. Warren H. Barfield and Randal A. Barfield, officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mary is survived by her children and children-in-law Billy Edward and Linnie Keen Dixon of LaGrange and Frankie Dixon and Phillip Hamilton of Texas; her brothers, Eddie Lee Barfield, Marvin Barfield, Warren H. Barfield, Randal Barfield and Timmy Barfield; her sisters, Judy Overby and Lucille Camacho; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin "Tex" Barfield; and her sisters, Effie Barfield Heath, Glennie Wiggins, Josie Morgan and Joan Hill.
The family will receive friends from1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home, 162 Beston Drive, LaGrange.
