Minister Brenda R. Mervin, 49, of 4042 Central Heights Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The triumphant homegoing celebration will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters. Dr. Patrick L. Wooden of the Upper Room Church of God In Christ, Raleigh, will officiate. Burial will follow the repast in the Rhodes Cemetery, Mount Olive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rosell Robinson Sr.; and siblings, Mary Taylor and Denise Robinson.
To cherish wonderful memories she leaves a son, Jamaal Mervin of Greensboro; mother, Luevonia Broadhurst Robinson of Goldsboro; sisters, Priscilla Best, Carolyn Cox, and Chris Johnson, all of Goldsboro, Gloristeen Isler of Dudley; brothers, Rosell Robinson Jr. of Tacoma, Wash., Jackie Robinson of Phillipsburg, N.J., Donald Robinson of Pikeville, Lyn-wood Robinson of Mount Olive, Michael Robinson of Greensboro, James Robinson of Charlotte.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 7 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her mother at 3575 Thoroughfare Road and will assemble there in preparation for the funeral procession.
