SHIRLEY CRUMPLER
Shirley Neil Lane Crumpler, 72, passed away Monday,
Dec. 24, 2007, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The Rev. Wayne Goff will officiate. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Crumpler was born in Wayne County on July 18, 1935, to the late Johnny and Glenny Cox Lane.
She is survived by her husband, Preston Blackwell; three sons, Melvin Wright and his wife, Kaye, of Goldsboro, John William Wright Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Black Creek, Robin G. Crumpler and his wife, Debbie, of Lucama; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service and other times at 900 Saulston Road in Goldsboro.
