ALBEMARLE -- Irvin Owens, 81, formerly of Macclesfield, died at the Fountains of Albemarle Retirement Home on Sunday. Born in Roanoke Rapids, he was the son of the late Dempsey Goodman and Flossie Owens.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Eagles Baptist Church in Crisp, N.C., with the Rev. Jeff Holden officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Tar-boro. Visitation will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
