Margaret Lorraine Parks Daniels, 89, of the Elroy Community, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at Wayne Memorial Hospital with her family at her bedside.

Margaret was born in Wayne County on Aug. 14, 1918 to the late John W. and Bertha P. Parks. She was married to the late LeRoy "Pete" Daniels. Margaret had retired as a seamstress for Brody's in Goldsboro with over 10 years of service. For over 55 years, she was a faithful member of New Hope Friends Meeting, where she served the church in many capacities including clerk, recording clerk of the monthly meeting, and for 50 years as treasurer of the U.S.F.W.

Funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at New Hope Friends Meeting with Bill Garner and Gordon Clarke officiating. Interment will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Margaret is survived by her beloved daughter, Annette Daniels of Goldsboro; her grandson-in-law, Ronnie Syverson and wife, Tammy, of Goldsboro; her great-grandchildren, Zachary S. Syverson, Ashley M. Syverson, Mary-Catherine Gurley, Anna Davis and Matthew Davis; and her sisters, Mollie P. Taber of Goldsboro and Winnie P. Mathews of LaGrange.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Melanie L. Syverson, and her sister, Linda P. Parks.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Building Fund of New Hope Friends Meeting, 4451 East U.S. 70 Hwy., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service in the Family Life Center of New Hope Friends Meeting and other times at her home.
