THE REV. LOUIS JORDAN

Attorney/Reverend Louis Jordan was born to the late Joseph and Mae Frances Bennett Jordan on July 14, 1945, in Baltimore, Md. He is survived by his wife, Nancy James Jordan of the home; two children, Kevin Andre' Jordan of Maryland and Kelly Andrea Jordan of Raleigh; one brother, James Burton and wife, Vern, of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Sondra Brehon of North Carolina; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Louis received his primary and secondary education from Warren County Schools. His Bachelor's degree was achieved at St. Augustine's College. He completed his Juris Doctorate from N.C. Central University and Post Juris Doctorate Studies from George Washington University. Also, he attended Shaw University with advance studies in Divinity.

Louis began his law career with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. He later started private practice in 1972. After starting private practice, he became owner of Law Offices of Louis Jordan on Walnut Street.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Head-quarters Building, S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Arthur Evans Sr. officiating. Viewing will be 2-7 p.m. today at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home, Goldsboro, N.C. Interment will be held in Warren County following repast.
