NORFOLK, Va. -- Shirlena Wiley Barnes, 41, of 6868 Silverwood Court, died Monday at DePaul Medical Center. She was a native of Goldsboro, N.C., teacher assistant in Norfolk Public Schools and a member of Zion Light Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Norfolk, Va.
She is survived by her husband, Percy Lee Barnes Jr.; daughter, Sherelle Renee Barnes; mother, Annie Mae Wiley; sisters, Katie Hardy of Goldsboro, N.C., Antonia Robinson of Tampa, Fla., and Beatrice Carlisle of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Reginald Randolph and wife, Angie, of Goldsboro, N.C., Needham Wiley Jr. of Goldsboro, N.C., Darryl Wiley and wife, Conchita, of Apex, N.C., and Sheldon Wiley of Goldsboro, N.C.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Goldsboro-Disciple Institute with presiding Prelate Bishop C.L. Aycock officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by E.A. Hughes Funeral Home of Norfolk, Va.
