Minnie Lou Vinson Wells, 89, died Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Minnie was born in Wayne County to the late Thomas Jefferson Vinson and Minnie Olivia Durham Vinson. She was married to the late Joe Wells. Minnie had worked as a waitress with Wilber's Barbecue.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Brown officiating. Entombment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Minnie is survived by her son, Mark Edward Wells of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Penny Lou Hill, Tony Wells and Joey Wells, all of Goldsboro; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her special niece, Margie Jackson of Goldsboro.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
