Jerry Robert Holland Sr., 63, of 111 Bryanwood Drive, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at his home. Jerry was the owner/operator of Holland's Refinishing and Mini Storage. He took great pride in his work, enjoyed fishing, collecting coins and knives, and the Civil War.
Funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with Bishop Gary Corbett officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Episcopal Cemetery.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gwen Hardy Holland; two children and a son-in-law, Angela and Bobby Overton of Seven Springs, Charles Lindsey of LaGrange; mother, Elizabeth Byrd Jackson of Kinston; 11 grandchildren, Justin Taylor, Rose Lindsey, Bobby Ray Overton, Willie Overton, Dusty Taylor, Emily Holland, Josh Holland, Taylor Glance, Megan Taylor, Billy Overton and Kailee Lindsey; one great-grandchild, Jaylin Overton; step-brother, Gary Kornegay of Kinston.
The family will receive friends Monday following the service and at other times they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
