BOBBY B. SMITH

LAGRANGE -- Bobby Breen Smith, 70, of 1762 N. Beston Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Bobby was born in Wayne County to the late John H. "Dick" Smith and Nettie Grady Smith. He was president of New Hope Gas Company, had farming and logging interests and enjoyed spending time at his fish pond.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home, with Bishop Gary Corbett and McGee Smith officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Vonne Benton Smith; three children, Gary Breen Smith and wife, Joy, of LaGrange, Vicky Jo Smith and husband, Ken, of Caldwell, Ind., and Kelly Grady Smith of St. George, Utah; stepson, Christopher Lyerly of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Breen Smith and wife, Jessica, Casey Brandon Smith, Shannon Smith Critchfield and husband, Jared, Jacob Tyler Smith, Kelly Anne Smith, Benjamin Smith, Jason Smith, Mackenzie Jo Smith, Alexander Grady Smith and Sebastianna Chase Smith; step-grandchild, Robert Donovan Harper; great-grandchild, Kailee Rose Critchfield; and mother-in-law, Bessie Benton of Goldsboro.
