MOUNT OLIVE -- Carlton Edward Warren III, 34, died Monday morning at N.C. Baptist Hospital at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem following an aneurysm of the brain.

He was employed with Keen Plumbing Company of Goldsboro and was a childhood member of the Bear Marsh Baptist Church. More recently, he had become a member of the Celebrate Recovery Program at First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with Jimmy Lassiter officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery beside his beloved grandmother.

He is survived by a son, Anthony Carlton Newsome and his mother, Charlene Newsome Warren, both of Goldsboro; twin stepdaughters, Latasha Newsome and Latisha Newsome, both of Goldsboro; a special friend, Rhonda Sutton Blizzard of Mount Olive; his mother and stepfather, Kaye Swinson Massey and Doug Massey of Mount Olive; his father and stepmother, Pete and Linda Warren of Grifton; a sister and brother-in-law, Allison Warren Sauls and Mike Sauls, and their sons, Jacob and Matthew Sauls, all of Goldsboro; and his paternal grandparents, Pete and Florence Warren of Faison.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Weldon "Pete" Swinson and Lona Lee Swinson Stafford.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be sent to Celebrate Recovery Program, First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 130 Ed Edmundson Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.

Friends and family may call at the residence of his mother and stepfather at 120 E. John St., Mount Olive.
