ASHEVILLE -- Helen Janet McKay, 46, of 100 Peachtree St., died Wednesday at her residence. Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., she was the daughter of Bob and Lucy McKay. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Family members will have a celebration of Janet's life Friday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will gather immediately following the service at the funeral home to greet friends.
In addition to her parents, Janet is survived by a daughter, Angela Michelle McKay; two grandchildren, Zander and Aiva; three brothers, Robert, Michael and Steven McKay; and a sister, Michelle McKay.
Flowers are welcome and memorial gifts may be directed to the charity of your choice.
