KENLY -- Melvin Broughton, 80, formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Floudie and Sallie Broughton.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Broughton and one child.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Rex Evans officiating. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
