HARVEY RANDOLPH CHESSER

Harvey Randolph Chesser, 84, of 3775 E. Ash St., died Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Harvey was born in Hallwood, Va., to the late Samuel Chesser and Alverta Hart Chesser. He was the owner and operator of Highway 70 Mobile Home Park. Harvey served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Hazel Ward Chesser; his children, Connie Brown and husband, Tommy, of Mardela Springs, Md., Patricia Williams of Deep Creek, Va., Barbara Joseph of Seaford, Del., Mike Woodard and wife, Karen, of Goldsboro and Kathy Woodard of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mervis Poulson of Rock Hill, S.C.

Memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
